What the 'Facundo' happened?!? Only 72% would buy this again! Me, I'd buy it in a heart-beat. Firstly, such an elegant label. Then, the no-expense spared heavy bottle with it's deep punt. And the contents! Wow! Upon opening, I poured some Inky-black Crimson liquid into my glass and swooshed it around. Sure... The bouquet is a bit muted, but the explosive flavours in the mouth more than made up for the nose. The flavour is not easily decipherable. However, I sensed some dense fruit, black-strap liquorice, and leather amidst soft tannin and beautiful acidity. Day 3: Still subdued, but bouquet of Spice and Liquorice, with a touch of Blackberry Leaf. Still enormous in the mouth. Savoury & nutty, and popping out from under the tannin duvet is the spice, fresh cherry & dark chocolate. Facundo has an extraordinary long finish, activating my salivary glands in a most delightful way. Thirst-quenching! What is there not to like?
