I posted in the ‘What I’m Drinking Tonight’ group after opening this wine that it was utterly superb. Allow me to expand a little further. Dom’s ‘Terra’ range has become synonymous with high quality wines that deliver complexity and elegance at a price point that doesn’t break the bank. So to add a rosé to the range was perhaps a little bit of a gamble for Dom, but encouraged by Angels who voted 2 to 1 in favour of making a premium pink, he set out to craft a serious rosé from the same grapes used in his best selling reds. There was never any doubt in my mind that he would deliver, but I guess as a winemaker you’re always a little apprehensive to see how your new creation is received. Dom doesn’t need me to tell him this, as the response has been superb, but I’ll state it anyway - he has absolutely nailed it! From the rose petal and blossom aromatics, through layers of red fruit and summer berry flavours, into a smooth and long finish, this is a triumph on every level. Seasoned red wine drinkers who dismiss rosé as inferior should try this because it has the different dimensions to prompt a rethink. I can’t score it anything other than full marks. I have but one request, Dom. Please sir, will you make us some more?
