Plush Pinotage - made from some of the best fruit in Stellenbosch.
- Not too heavy, not too light, this is a Pinotage with a real presence.
- Timing the grape harvest is this classy wine’s secret. Danie gets the balance just right between those early red fruit and cherry notes, and the richer dark fruit flavours. The oak and fruit are all held in perfect balance... yum.
- If we can get behind Danie and his wines, he can turn more of that incredible fruit into amazing kit for us, without the designer price tag. And help build a better future for so many kids in his local community of farm workers. If that doesn’t give you a warm and cuddly feeling, nothing will.

Meet the winemaker - Danie Steytler
Danie is a rare gem in South Africa. He’s the 4th generation of a family winemaking dynasty. His grandfather was one of the first to plant Pinotage in South Africa and their Chenin Blanc vineyard is the second oldest in the country.
After working in wineries all over the world, Danie returned home to work for his family business. Some of South Africa’s most prestigious wines are made from his family’s grapes, which big wineries queue up for.
His good friend Johan Kruger says "he’s got everything – the land, the fruit, the talent, the awards, the quality wines, and amazing potential". Now, with Angels behind him, Danie will finally get his own name on the label.
