About the wine
Discover the powerhouse, flagship red of northern Italy
It’s time you tried one of northern Italy’s most prestigious wines – Amarone della Valpolicella! Mirko’s iconic red is world-famous for its signature dried fruit flavors, big backbone of toasty oak and a velvety-smooth finish.
Mirko crafted this red in the historic appassimento style, using a traditional blend of specially dried grapes grown in the sweeping hills of the Valpolicella region, where his family's been making wines for 3 generations.
Amarone requires 2 years of special barrel aging and Mirko aged this wine in his cellar even longer — this is an exquisite vintage of one of Italy’s most celebrated reds and your Angel-exclusive savings is the cherry on top!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Mirko Sella
Mirko Sella is a bona fide expert of northern Italy, specifically world-famous Valpolicella, where he’s the third generation to make wine from his family’s vineyards.
When Angels voted to bring on more Italian wines and fund a Ripasso (a Valpolicella specialty) — all roads led to Mirko! With 20 harvests in Valpolicella under his belt, he’s ready to share his wines on the world stage, thanks to you!
Mirko’s wines are regional classics made with sun-dried grapes hand-harvested from his family’s vineyards: a powerful, concentrated Valpolicella Amarone, and its bold ally, a fruity Valpolicella Ripasso.
