About the wine
Elegant, cool-climate Chardonnay from your Russian River Valley champion
- Ondine’s brilliant Chardonnay is a fresh, juicy fusion of lush tropical flavors with a complex toastiness and creamy finish courtesy of aging in French oak barrels.
- The cool-climate Russian River Valley is a wonderland for delicate Chardonnay and Ondine’ deep connections in the region got her access to the best grapes for this white wine, from sites like the picturesque Adam & Eve Vineyard, which has been lovingly farmed by three generations of the same family.
- Whether you’re enjoying a luxurious full-course meal, catching up with friends over Zoom, or spending a relaxing weekend afternoon basking in the sun – this is the delicious, award-winning Chardonnay you want in your glass.
Best before
This wine is perfectly aged and drinking marvelously at the moment. This Chardonnay should plateau for a couple more years, not changing dramatically over the next 18-24 months. But the balance of fruit, oak and pastry character will be best in the near-term.
Serving advice
Serve chilled but not cold. No 'breathing' is needed but a deep, full-bowl wine glass with plenty of headspace in which to swirl will liberate the aromas to deliver the best experience and reveal the range of flavors. I enjoy barrel-aged Chardonnay a day after it is first opened, so saving from one day to the next (be sure to store in the refrigerator) is also a great way to see how the wine evolves.
Food match
Crispy batter is a wonderful partner to Chardonnay. Whether classic fried chicken or panko-crusted calamari, the buttery crunch is even more satisfying with this medium-bodied Chardonnay. Another great pairing is an apple and brie flatbread or grilled brie with apple slices or fig jam. The creamy and fruity, smooth and crisp combination is comforting and fresh.

Meet the winemaker - Ondine Chattan
Unmistakably one of the North Coast’s top winemaking talents, Ondine Chattan’s worked for wine institutions – famed wineries like Ridge Vineyards, Cline Cellars, and spent decades running famed Healdsburg winery Geyser Peak.
Does Geyser Peak sound familiar? It should – it’s the long-time winemaking home of one legendary Daryl Groom – and it’s where these decades-long colleagues and friends met. They’re still close… in fact, they might collaborate on exclusive wines now and again.*wink.*
Ondine is awestruck by the wine community Angels have built – and she wants to help it grow. “I truly connect to people through the wines I make,” she said. “The stories of the growers, the vineyards, and the process behind the wine are as vital to me as grapes.”
