About the wine
Juicy, mouthwatering Montaria from the master of Portugal
Big and bursting with ripe red fruit that unfolds with a round, full texture and lingers on a smooth, silky, oh-so-satisfying finish.
Luis is your go-to expert when it comes to the Alentejo region in southern Portugal – he’s made one Angel-favorite wine after another, with no end in sight!
Luis masterfully blended three grapes for this heavenly red: Trincadeira, Aragonez and Alicante Boushet. They’re tongue-twisters to pronounce, but they make up for it with loads of lip-smacking flavor!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Luis Vieira
- Born in Lisbon, Luis is a third-generation wine producer but the first in his family to have his own vineyards. His grandfather started the family winemaking business, which Luis now leads, to bring Angels a taste of Portugal.
- His vineyards in Lisbon are not only planted with classic Portuguese varieties – but also Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah and Alicante Bouchet. Combine that with vineyards in Alentejo and Tejo, insider knowledge and his expert team, Luis delivers exceptional value wines.
- If you like to get lots of wine for your money, look no further. Luis is your guy – your winemaker of the largely undiscovered hidden gems of Portugal.
