White Wine: Light, crisp, and refreshing, white wines are made from green or yellowish grapes. They range from dry to sweet and are perfect for pairing with lighter dishes. Top choices include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling.
Rosé Wine: Rosé wines are light pink in color and can be either dry or sweet. They’re made by allowing the grape skins to briefly touch the juice, giving them their blush hue. Rosés are versatile and great for casual sipping.

How should I store my wine?
After your wine delivery, proper storage ensures that every bottle tastes as good as the winemaker intended. Here’s how to keep your reds, whites, rosés, and sparklers in the best condition before drinking:
Red Wine: Store red wines in a cool, dark place with a consistent temperature, ideally between 55-65°F (13-18°C). Keep bottles lying on their side to keep the cork moist, and away from direct sunlight or vibrations. A wine rack in a basement or a cool cupboard works perfectly.
White and Rosé Wine: These wines prefer a slightly cooler environment, around 45-55°F (7-13°C). Like reds, store them horizontally in a dark place to reduce the risk of degradation. If you don’t have a wine fridge, the bottom shelf of your regular fridge is an ideal option.
Sparkling Wine: To keep those bubbles lively, sparkling wines should be stored at a cool 40-50°F (4-10°C). A wine fridge is ideal, but your regular fridge will do the trick if you plan to enjoy the bottle within a few weeks. If you’re saving it for a special occasion, store it in a cool, dark place and chill it before serving.
What are the top wine making regions?
There are countless, world renowned winemaking regions to choose from, and each showcase their own distinct terroir (or environment) and tradition. Bordeaux, France, is known for its elegant red blends, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, while Tuscany, Italy, captivates with its Sangiovese-based reds like Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. Napa Valley, USA, shines with its world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and also produces exceptional Chardonnay. Champagne, France, is synonymous with the finest sparkling wines, offering unparalleled bubbles that define celebration. Lastly, Rioja, Spain, delivers rich Tempranillo-based reds and crisp white wines, solidifying it as a versatile and essential wine region.
What food goes best with each type of wine?
When it comes to pairing wine with food, each type of wine complements specific flavors and dishes.
Red wines are best paired with rich, hearty dishes like red meats, pasta with tomato-based sauces, and aged cheeses, as their bold flavors and tannins balance the intensity of the food. White wines are ideal with lighter fare such as seafood, chicken, salads, and creamy sauces, as their acidity and crispness enhance the delicate flavors.
Sparkling wines are incredibly versatile, pairing well with everything from salty appetizers and fried foods to sushi and light desserts, thanks to their effervescence and refreshing acidity. Rosé wines offer a middle ground, pairing beautifully with a wide range of dishes, including grilled vegetables, charcuterie, and lighter pasta, making them perfect for versatile dining.
