André Lescoutra's Story
André Lescoutra's Story
"This property, was established by Lo Lescoutra in the end of the 19th Century around the little village of Berniquet on the West Side of the Listrac Appellation. The name is the association of Mrs Lagrave name who sold a plot to Leo in a place called Cissan.
Today, this nice estate is run by the great-grandson of Lo, me, Andr Lescoutra.
What do I love about wine making? It is not original but simply being outside and perpetuating a family tradition suits me. It is a passion since the beginning of my life! I couldn't do this without my hard working team and it is impossible for me to work with someone who doesnt love its work. Its harder producing papers than producing grapes.
I like nothing more to open one of my very finest bottles of wine with my friends for a very, very good dinner......or if I was inviting Robert Parker along to any dinner or visit to the winery!"
