About the wine
Napa legends putting El Dorado on the winemaking map
- Scott and Matt helped put Napa on the map with their work on iconic wines like Francis Ford Coppola's Rubicon and Stags' Leap, and now they want to do the same thing for the foothills below the Sierra Nevada mountains.
- This rich, textured Cab blend is big and intense with a beautiful blue violet hue that shows its power and full ripeness. The fruit in El Dorado is forceful and rugged, so Scott and Matt worked together to extract the flavor and beauty of these grapes while leaving behind the courser, rougher elements.
- Full, generous fruit flavors with a hint of toast and vanilla from extended barrel aging – a dark, concentrated wine that's pairs perfectly with a tender slice of beef, the thicker the better.
