About the wine
Refreshing and elegant Chardonnay from Washington's Columbia Valley
Chardonnay, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways... 'cause this crisp white's overflowing with refreshing, squeaky-clean flavor – like green apples and citrus with a nice long finish. Ahhh.
Katy and Justin trekked all over the Columbia Valley to make your elegant Chardonnay – harvesting cool-climate grapes for crisp zing and warmer-climate fruit for fresh, juicy flavor.
If you think you know Chardonnay, you’re going to want to try this mouthwatering Washington white... stat. It’s absolutely dreamy with anything from quick fettuccini to full-on cracked lobster.
Best before
Drink now. It will age for up to 5 years and probably soften a little over time. It is made fruit forward in style with bright acidity so it should drink well right out of the gate.
Serving advice
I like it chilled. The colder it is, the less fruit you get (with more acidity). I think it's great out of the fridge. If you like them extra crisp, throw it in an ice bucket.
Food match
We just finished up asparagus season and had an amazing quiche with asparagus, spinach and cheddar. This wine would pair great with it. I also think it is great as a starter with salad or a cheese plate.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Justin & Katy Michaud
Katy and Justin Michaud are two of Washington's most talented young winemakers – the folks behind award-winning wines at Canoe Ridge, Kim Crawford, Covey Run and Coyote Canyon.
They’ve had huge success individually - and thanks to Angels, this husband-wife duo are creating their own wines together (for the first time ever!) They’re psyched to join forces and introduce more spectacular cool-climate wines to Angels across the US.
Washington produces vibrant, fruit-driven wines that you just can't capture in California – the moment we tasted Katy and Justin's wines we knew we were onto something that would give Napa a run for its money!
