Top-quality California Chardonnay from a rising star region

Petaluma Gap, a cooler climate region at the southern end of Sonoma County, is a rising star for producing world-class Chardonnay. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay, it’s strongly influenced by foggy mornings, sunny days, windy afternoons, and cool nights. The perfect conditions for producing high-quality Chardonnay.

Matt sourced grapes from four top-notch vineyards that provide a different expression based on location, topography, and soil type. The grapes were hand-picked, whole bunch pressed, and then barrel fermented in seasoned French Oak and sur-lie aged, to create interesting nuances, aromas, flavours, and mouthfeel.

Lemon yellow in appearance, the wine has classic citrus, stone, and tropical fruit notes, with complexities of spice, marshmallow, and creme brûlée. As it’s a Chardonnay, make sure to take it out of the fridge just before serving. Allowing the wine to warm slightly will make for the fullest expression of aromas and flavours.

The wine was crafted to drink over the next couple of years but will age longer for those looking for more bottle complexity.
