Matt Parish Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Reserve 2013
About the wine
Classic Napa Cab at it's best
- Rutherford is the kind of world-renowned sub-appellation that instantly raises the price of a Napa Cab because the well-drained gravelly soils with volcanic deposits lend such a characteristic quality to big, bold Cabernet grown there. And this vineyard is the best of the best.
- Matt is an extremely well-connected winemaker in the Napa Valley, from his time overseeing the winemaking at Beringer, Stags' Leap and others. So he pulled some strings and got some of the most insanely sought-out fruit in Rutherford. But there's a catch.
- This vineyard is so famous we'd normally have to pay through the nose just to name it on the label. Matt decided NOT to pay for bragging rights so you get the same delicious fruit without the celebrity vineyard's name on the label.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Matt Parish
- After 25 vintages overseeing the winemaking of brands like Beringer, Stags’ Leap and Etude and many more, Matt launched his own brand thanks to Angels' support!
- Matt’s a laser-precise winemaker. We asked him for a rich, smooth Napa Cabernet. He delivered. We asked him for a silky, elegant Sta. Rita Pinot Noir... and he makes the best one we have ever tasted.
- Voted by US Angels as their “2017 Winemaker of the Year”; our friends from across the pond are a discerning bunch so you can trust their judgement completely!
