We’ve been searching for more low-alcohol wines for ages, so it was music to our ears when Naked legend Carmen Stevens told us she’d been tinkering away on something.

It's made using top-quality grapes from the same Western Cape vineyards she uses for her regular Angel’s Selection wines. And the quality of ingredients really stands out in Carmen's refreshing de-alcoholised Sauvignon. When we tasted it for the first time, we lit up. Unlike so many low-alc wines, it actually tasted like wine, with all the complexity of flavours and aromas, albeit without the alcoholic oomph.

It’s got all the lovely, green, fruity characters you’d expect from a Sauvignon - fresh lime, grapefruit and cut grass - with a soft, round mouthfeel. It’s almost as vibrant as the real deal. And perfect for when you want to enjoy something delicious with a nice midweek meal but don’t want to deal with a hangover. Or if you have friends coming round who can’t drink, a bottle of one of these will make sure no one feels left out.

Meet the winemaker - Carmen Stevens
- From humble roots, Carmen blazed a trail, to become head winemaker at a prestigious winery in South Africa. Her wines won medals by the truckload, yet she couldn’t even get a bank overdraft to start her own business.
- That was until Angel funding allowed her to finally fulfil her dream of setting up her own winery. Carmen has gone from strength to strength ever since, winning countless awards (including being voted your Winemaker of the Decade!)
- With your support, coupled with her sheer passion and determination, Carmen is helping to create a better future for thousands of hungry South African children thanks to Angel donations.
