About the wine
Clean, crisp and crystal clear
- Albarino is Spain's answer to Sauvignon Blanc. Clean, crisp and crystal clear, but daring enough to make it the perfect partner with even the boldest of food combos - in other words, an all-around winner to have in the fridge.
- This version is like drinking a glass of pure Granny Smith apples, with a big fat dollop of cream added in for good luck. Kerr...zing!
- Chicken and chorizo stew, a bottle of this, trashy TV, and you're set for the night.
Best before
2-3 years. Even more for really old white wine lovers!
Serving advice
Best served chilled, and after half an hour of breathing time in the bottle
Food match
This region is really famous for killer seafood and fish, and Albarino pairs well with both. It also goes great with salmon (smoked or fresh), creamy cheeses (Brie, Camembert...) and Asian spices (especially curry)
