Tormaresca Calafuria Negroamaro Rosato 2019
About the wine
A proper foodie's rosé from Puglia's sun-drenched coastal vineyards
Calafuria has a long tradition of producing rosé wines made with Negroamaro grapes, a variety that best expresses its full potential near the sea. These grapes were hand-tended in a vineyard that runs one kilometre along the Adriatic coastline.
Negroamaro is one of the most potent and versatile grapes, and hand pruning them results in a wine with a complex, rich structure. The grapes are hand-harvested after soaking up the warm Mediterranean sun.
This coral pink rosé is a proper foodie's wine and made to be savoured. Remarkably refined and perfectly balanced, it's bursting with aromas of fresh pink grapefruit and juicy peaches. Perfect for alfresco feasting.

Meet the winemaker - Covid Support Fund
Among the (many) groups of people affected by your favourite restaurant or bar being closed are the small independent winemakers who supply them, and whose wine no longer has a home. It’s especially the small guys that have little-to-no hope of selling their wine any time soon...
With their markets in lockdown, orders have dried up completely. And with little government help available in lots of countries, many are in real danger of going bust.
We’re pledging to help the best of the independent winemakers who’ve been affected by this crisis. We’ve received over 200 applications so far. Some of the stories would be enough to bring you to tears. They have wine sitting in their winery, and this is their silver lining.
