About the wine
A classic Corbières red of power and intensity, rooted in centuries of winemaking tradition
- This classy mix of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah is full-bodied yet sumptuously smooth and loaded with rich fruits and peppery spices. Incredible aromas of blackberries, violets and toasted cinnamon merge with mouth-watering plum and black cherry flavours in the mouth. Yum!
- Jen and her hubby Didier make this in his hometown of Douzens. An ancient French village of around 800 people where winemaking is life and everything's done in the traditional way. There’s no chemicals or artificial fertilisers in this wine, it’s chock-full of natural goodness and every grape is hand-picked on its way to the winery.
- Their gnarly 45-55 year old vines grow lush grapes to make wines with incredible intensity of flavour. Even better, you’ll benefit from 6 years of ageing in Jennifer’s cellar, to round out the power, spice and dark fruity flavour of this juicy red wine.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Jennifer Buck
- 20 years ago, Jennifer moved from California to France to study and teach English. She met a Frenchman called Didier, fell in love, and decided to stick around.
- Jen's husband Didier was born and raised in Douzens, a tiny village in Corbières with a population of 800. He is the son of wine growers, like almost everyone else in the village.
- In 2009 they moved back to Didier's village, where they converted an old barn into a winery. Since then, they've been slowly growing their small family-run organic wine production.
