Finca El Romero Tinto Carinena 2011
About the wine
Gold-medal Spanish red
- Franck told us that he'd spotted some premium grapes being grown, just around the corner from the ultra expensive Priorat region - and with your backing, he snapped them up to make this stunning wine.
- A slinky, velvety wine that just oozes depth and subtlety. Get ready to wrap your taste buds around ripe, full bodied fruit and exceptionally well balanced tannins.
- Franck has purposely left this wine unfiltered to cram as much flavour in to your wine as possible. Be sure to decant it with a careful touch, and you'll be rewarded with a medal-winning masterpiece in a glass.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Franck Massard
- Top Sommelier turned winemaker, he knows exactly what tastes good and what food to pair it with.
- In 2004 Franck gave up wine serving for winemaking. He moved to Priorat, Spain’s poshest wine region. There he began hand-crafting small parcels of those premium wines he used to pour.
- Recommended to us by Benjamin Darnault, Franck's got incredible raw talent. Using modern winemaking methods, he's taking Spanish wine into a new stratosphere of quality.
