Ameryck - there are many connections between Bristol and American history and to celebrate the hypothesis that America was in fact named after 15th century local merchant Richard Ameryck who funded John Cabot's voyage of discovery in 1497 we have named our American Red ale in his honour - just waiting to be discovered by the thirsty and intrepid!
