Red Rock Brewery was started in 2006 by Lewis Parkes and his dad, John, with financial support from John's golfing buddy Martin. Also crucial was the offer of a vacant barn from local pal and farmer Geoff! Lew was the experienced brewer and quickly developed recipes to get the brewery started. After growing steadily for a couple of years, Lew's sister, Hollie, joined the team and stamped her womanly touch on proceedings. Growth was more rapid after her arrival and the brewery was moved into a larger adjoining barn. Red Rock Brewery has continued to expand and the beers can be found in local pubs and shops including some of the national multiples. A close collaboration with a local family run wholesaler, Tolchards, has given the beers wider exposure with Red Rock benefiting from Tolchards highly effective sales force expanding the number of pubs supplied. Red Rock produces 3 distinctive own label cask ales for Tolchards - Devon Coast, Devon County and Devon Storm - look out for them in your local pubs! In 2014 Red Rock Brewery is installing a new craft keg filling line to produce quality beer in a keg which will have a longer cellar life but still have the quality of flavour associated with Red Rock's products.
