Brewing started on a small scale in 1984 when the brewery was located in the cellar of the Stag & Hounds pub in Burrough on the Hill, a location that has been since used by a number of different brewers. In 1986 a new 20 barrel brewplant was acquired and brewing moved to the old stables at the rear of the pub. In 1992 they moved to the back of The Old Brewery Inn, High Street, Somerby. During the summer of 2003 however they moved back to the Stag & Hounds.
