In 2013, he scored 100 points from leading wine critic Robert Parker for his Merlot ‘Chateau La Violette 2010’... the first Argentine winemaker to receive such recognition! If that wasn’t enough he also scored 99 points for his Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend ‘Chateau Le Gay’ so you are looking at some pretty serious know-how here.  

Marcelo isn’t just a talented winemaker though, he’s also an avid guitarist. In 2011 he decided to combine his two passions and ‘Wine Rock’ was born. Hosted at Bodega Monteviejo every year in May, it is a music festival that brings together wine, food, friends and rock and is considered by many to be the region's best rock festival.
