Evan Evans is built on a rich tradition of 245 years of family brewing. As a family, the Buckleys have brewed beer in Wales since 1767. The tradition started with Henry Child, a leading Welsh entrepreneur of his time, farmer, Grain Merchant, Maltster and agent to Sir Alex Stepney. Henry Child's daughter Maria married the Reverend James Buckley in 1798. Today, the tradition lives on with Simon and his son James , seventh and eighth generation of the family, brewing in Llandeilo, West Wales. We are a proud West Wales brewing company, following in the footsteps of our founding fathers, brewing in a modern brewing plant on the edge of the Black Mountains in rural Carmarthenshire. The family has been at the forefront of Welsh brewing for nearly two-and-a-half centuries, brewing award-winning-ales. The catalogue of awards runs from the great Brewing Exhibitions of the early 1900s to being voted one of the top three brewers in the World at the International Brewing Awards 2011 for Cwrw.
