We are based in Northumberland, near the borders of Cumbria and Durham and have been brewing real ales since 2006. Back in 2004 Tom Hick and his father Jim registered Allendale Brew Co Ltd and set to work finding premises suitable for commercial brewing in their rural hometown. Investing in part of the old lead mill at Allen Mill, the building needed a complete overhaul but they set to and made sure everything was perfect before Tom brewed his first commercial beer 'Curlew's retun' on Valentines Day 2006.
