Our blonde ale is light on the palate while still possessing a hoppy strength. You could say brewing a good blonde ale needs the finesse of a rock climber's grip (or are we reaching here?). We brewed our first batch while Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell were in the beginning of their bare-handed ascent of El Cap's Dawn Wall. To celebrate their accomplishment and the Yosemite climbing culture we named this beer the Bare-Handers Blonde Ale.
