About the wine
Spain meets California in this powerful red
- For the 2022 vintage, Macario combined Cabernet, Tempranillo and a bit of Petite Sirah to round out the bold red varieties.
- Spiced red fruit flavors abound in this red blend, especially delicious when paired with carne asada.
- Macario's specialty is working with high-end Spanish grapes found in Californian vineyards ? Sin Fronteras means 'without borders' and his wines truly represent the blend of these flavors.
- A portion of the proceeds of this bottle will be donated to The Montoya Opportunity Fund to support Latino/a winemakers, so thank you for your support.

Meet the winemaker - Macario Montoya
Macario worked his way up from cellar worker to Napa and Sonoma star winemaker – leading by example for other Latino winemakers.
While Macario is Napa-based, he’s garnered attention for his Mediterranean-style wines in California – his Lodi blends and especially his Macario Montoya reds from Contra Costa’s heritage vineyards – whose label depiction of the old vines shows off the artistic talents of his brother, Maceo Montoya.
