About the wine
Bold, powerhouse Zinfandel from the Paso legend behind thousands of wines
- This Zin packs a powerful punch of robust dark berry flavors, a melt-in-your-mouth smoothness and a deep, lavish finish.
- Thanks to your support, Sharon could harvest fruit from her choice of Paso Robles vineyards and age your wine a full 9 months in expensive French oak barrels for a generous extra touch of richness.
- By investing in Sharon, you get the expertise and precision that only comes from crafting thousands of wines over the years – in return you get wines like this Zinfandel designed specifically to your tastes.
Best before
This Zinfandel is delicious now and will continue to deliver excellent drinkability through 2028.
Serving advice
Please do not open this wine on the day that you receive it. This is a young wine and I do recommend decanting this wine for 60 mins prior to drinking to allow the flavors and aromatics to fully develop. This also helps soften the tannins and will give the wine a smoother taste. I also recommend letting all of my wines rest for a minimum of 2 weeks after receiving them to allow them to recover from the shipping. The shipping really does impact the aromatics and flavors of the wine and does make a difference on how much you will enjoy your wines.
Food match
This Zin pairs well with BBQ red meats, lamb, roasted pork loin, dark turkey, cow and sheep cheeses.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Sharon Weeks
- It started as a few odd jobs in the cellar, and turned into a winemaking gig. Over 30 years later, Sharon can't imagine ever wanting to do anything else.
- Sharon's responsible for making some seriously great wines for others – thousands over her 30-year career. But she's always disappointed after the wine's shipped off... all that hard work, and she never hears what becomes of it!
- Now that you've made her an independent winemaker, she loves sharing her big, enthusiastic winemaking style with Angels – and hearing what you think!
