Sharon Weeks Cattoo California Pinot Noir 2021
About the wine
Playful, soft and silky. The perfect Pinot!
- This is just the ticket when you’re craving an easy-sipping red. The cat’s meow, if you will – layered with bright flavors like cranberry, wild blueberries and pomegranate – and a touch of sweet oak spice.
- Angel funding helped Sharon craft this juicy Pinot with her choice of grapes from Lodi and Clarksburg vineyards, then age it for 9 months in French oak for complexity and smoothness.
- This velvety red is exquisite all on its own, but also loves company. Serve it with nearly anything – grilled fish, white-sauce pizza and mushroom dishes.
Best before
Drink now though 2027.
Serving advice
Decant for 60 minutes prior to serving to allow the flavors and aromatics to fully develop and to soften the tannins for a smoother taste. I also recommend letting all of your wines rest for a minimum of 2 weeks after receiving them.
Food match
Duck, chicken, grilled trout, lobster, pork, white pizza, mushroom risotto and wild mushroom polenta with goat cheese and herbs.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Sharon Weeks
- It started as a few odd jobs in the cellar, and turned into a winemaking gig. Over 30 years later, Sharon can't imagine ever wanting to do anything else.
- Sharon's responsible for making some seriously great wines for others – thousands over her 30-year career. But she's always disappointed after the wine's shipped off... all that hard work, and she never hears what becomes of it!
- Now that you've made her an independent winemaker, she loves sharing her big, enthusiastic winemaking style with Angels – and hearing what you think!
