About the wine
Booming Zin straight from the Sierra Foothills
- Stephen's powerful Zinfandel is filled with ripe berry flavors and a kick of peppery spice on the finish — a signature profile of the famous Clockspring Vineyard.
- Thanks to your funding, Stephen was granted special access to this esteemed Amador County vineyard to harvest this stunning Zinfandel, made all the more delicious by French oak aging.
- This Zin is a part of Stephen's acclaimed Legend series that celebrates the unique character of his favorite vineyards throughout the Sierra Foothills...and if it's one of Stephen's favorites, you can bet it'll be one of yours as well.

This will age well for up to 10 years. I'm confident in its ability to go the distance.
Serving advice
I'd open up the wine when you fire up the grill. That way it will be ready to enjoy when you put the meat skewers on... multitasking. I like it.
Food match
I discovered a new favorite pairing - duck toast - porcini mushrooms tossed in a duck confit brown sauce over country bread slices with a fried duck egg on top. Earthy and rich.

Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to gold medals, but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- We offered Stephen some Angel funding to set aside some of his favorites wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for us, and he jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the over-looked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
