About the wine
A sip of Oregon elegance
- The classic flavors of Oregon Pinot are here - raspberry and cherry – and a dash of savory spice. This is seamless and silky from start to finish.
- Chris harvested this Pinot from coveted vineyards in the exclusive Yamhill-Carlton region of Willamette Valley – a tiny corner of Oregon that grows some of the most prized Pinot in the Pacific Northwest
- Pinots from this treasured sub-region usually go for the big bucks, but you can get a few bottles for the price anyone else pays for one.
Best before
Thanks to the extended barrel aging this wine is ready to drink now, however will get better over the next couple years. The blend has enough structure and acidity to hold up in bottle. It will hold up for 10+ years. Not that it will last that long though.
Serving advice
A bit of decanting or opening an hour before drinking may be beneficial for the 6 months or so after bottling (9/24). It will continue to get better and open up as it sits open. After the first 6 months in bottle I would suggest opening it 30 minutes before drinking.
Food match
Pinot Noir pairs with anything from a roasted root vegetable medley to pork and chicken, but is rich and dark enough to hold up to red meat as well. My favorite is a beautifully grilled pork tenderloin.
