About the wine
Making famous Napa Cab from this vineyard since '99
- This Cab is a Napa icon from top to bottom, filled with lush black cherry, freshly picked blackberry and sunkissed plum flavors, all topped off with toasty oak spice.
- Diamond Mountain District’s Sori Bricco block grows the most luxurious Cabernet grapes – it’s world famous and you’ve got the ultimate connection – your winemaker is the guy that founded the region.
- Rudy’s Cabernet was made to age gracefully for decades – get a few bottles for now (and for your collection!) while you can.
Best before
In my opinion this wine will continue to improve for many years. If an angel is not sure about whether they like wines young or old, by a few bottles and open one every 3 or 4 years to compare. It is an eye-opening experiment.
Serving advice
Like all very fine Cabernets, in its youth this wine will benefit from being decanted - to allow in some oxygen - or at least opened an hour before drinking. Once the wine is aged, decanting is important to remove sediment.
Food match
I enjoy this wine with game: bison and elk are some of my favorite meats to have with Sori bricco.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Rudy von Strasser
Rudy von Strasser is a Napa legend — he played a huge part in founding the Diamond Mountain District, famous for its Cabernet. By rallying everyone in the region, he put the AVA (American Viticultural Area) on the map in 1999!
Rudy met Naked through Alex Farber — he was looking to expand his portfolio with some beautiful Petite Sirah, but didn’t have enough room in his winery.
Angel funding helped make that Petite Sirah possible. When he brought us his other wines, we knew we’d hit the jackpot! Rudy’s now able to share his wide range of Diamond Mountain District wines with Angels across the country.
