Matt Iaconis Chardonnay Napa Valley 2015
About the wine
Napa Chardonnay from this exact vineyard block sells for $40+
- This Chardonnay is grown in granite soils 1800 feet above sea level where it's 6-7 degrees cooler than the valley floor, so grapes ripen slowly and maintain their crisp brightness and a great fruit focus.
- You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to make great Napa Chard. If you work with a vineyard like this at a high elevation, and with 25th-generation grape growers like the Antinoris, you can create a really unique wine without all the expensive stuff.
- You want a good wine from Napa to impress your friends who only drink white – Matt's is it.
