About the wine
Reserve barrel-aged Zin
- This is classic Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, filled with signature dark fruit flavors like black raspberry, with a rich, complex finish thanks to its time aging in French oak barrels.
- Winemaking duo Michael and Anne Dashe crafted this Zinfandel with hand-picked grapes from vineyards in Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley – home to some of California's most widely sought-after Zinfandel.

The wine is perfect for immediate drinking, but due to its balance and acidity can be aged for ten years or more.
Serving advice
The wine will be at its best if opened and aired for 30 minutes before drinking.
Food match
Any grilled meats or vegetables--for example, it is superb with grilled hamburgers--or any stews or dishes with savory sauces. You would be hard-pressed to find a wine that goes better with pasta or any food with tomato-based sauce. Personally, I love braised lamb shanks with any MAD Dashe Zinfandel.

Michael and Anne Dashe have worked with many top wineries — Ridge Vineyards, Far Niente, Chappellet, Château Lafite-Rothschild, Château La Dominique — but have developed style all their own. Elegant, balanced wines made with minimal additives, natural yeasts, and grapes from small family farms are their signature!

In their urban winery on Spirits Alley (an old Naval Airbase in Alameda, CA), Michael and Anne are using non-industrial winemaking techniques that allow them to highlight the fruit and emphasize the wine’s balance — crafting California Zinfandels in a unique style.
- Although the Dashes have both worked at many wineries famous for Cabernet Sauvignon, their reputation really began with world-class Dry Creek Zinfandel. “Angels, we’re ready to show you that a well-made Zinfandel can be an absolute picture of sophistication and beauty: visually, aromatically, texturally, and flavorfully,” Mike says.
