        • Montagu is a secret, off-the-beaten-path winemakers' paradise, once known for sweet wine and brandy. Reenen Borman is the trailblazing winemaker who uncovered a gold mine of stunning parcels in the underappreciated region. With Angel funding, he's raising the profile of this promising South African region - and Angels can say that they helped put it on the map.
        • When Reenen's mate had just finished picking premium Montagu grapes for one of South Africa's iconic wines (which goes for £36 a pop), he set aside a small batch for Reenen. He was blown away by the grapes' quality, grown on rare 30-year-old vines, and decided to make it into something special, just for Angels.
        • Reenen took Colombard (a grape typically used for brandy) and showcased it as a solid support act for his fruity Chenin Blanc blend. The result is a mouthwatering explosion of fruit salad flavours wrapped up with a fresh citrus zippiness – a deliciously quaffable taste bud refresher.

        • You won’t find a winemaker more experienced, or frankly more passionate about his wines than Stephen. So when he said he wanted to make a classy Reserve Chardonnay, we knew it would be a bit special.
        • Thanks to Angel funding, Stephen was able to hand-harvest the grapes and age them in the finest French oak casks, giving his Reserve Chard the elegance of a white Burgundy, with a dollop of South African sunshine for extra flavour.
        • His full-bodied Chardonnay is chock full of zesty lemons, limes and grapefruit all wrapped up in a velvety coat of toasty, vanilla spices. It’s refined, it’s lavish, it’s sumptuous... perfect for a night on the sofa with a good movie and a cuddle.

        • The cool climate of the Elgin Valley produces some of the tastiest Sauvignon Blanc South Africa has to offer, so when Rudi spotted an idyllic vineyard in need of a winemaker he couldn't believe his luck.
        • Without all of your help this wine would never have seen the inside of a wine bottle, destined instead to be sold off as 'bulk wine' dissapearing into a massive multi-origin, nameless blend - now that would be criminal!
        • The North Beach is harvested early in the early hours of the morning to preserve the grapes lightness of touch. This is offset expertly by the fresh cut grass aromas and bright pop of tropical fruit on the palette... YUM

        • For years, Danie and his family have been great at growing top-notch fruit for expensive Stellenbosch designer wineries. But the Steytlers get little credit for it, and were paid a pittance. Now he’s finally turning this fruit into wines of his own.
        • Not too heavy, not too light, this is a Pinotage with a real presence. Timing the grape harvest is this classy wine’s secret...

        • Danie gets the balance just right between those early red fruit and cherry notes, and the richer dark fruit flavours. The oak and fruit are all held in perfect balance… yum.

        • I often ride my mountain bike across our neighbour’s farm, and one vineyard has always intrigued me. After some investigation I learned that it was Pinotage. Pinotage isn’t my favourite grape, but being impressed with the beautiful berries, I asked to assist in the cellar during the making of the wine. It was love at first sight...
        • The funding from Naked enabled me to get involved in the winemaking and also to secure this lovely wine, making it possible for me to afford production and packaging to send this lovely wine to you, Angels!
        • The vineyards are situated on mid-altitude foothills in Stellenbosch, planted on clay soils, which makes the wine wonderfully opulent and rich. It’s silky soft, with delicious fruit driven flavours. Wild strawberries, generous raspberries, finished with a dollop of chocolate from the oak barrels.

        • South Africa’s lockdown has been one of the strictest in the world - with a total ban on alcohol sales the industry was left on its knees. For small winemakers like Cerina, it's been totally devastating. The best way we can support them is by drinking their wines - luckily we know a few Angels who might be able to help...
        • Cerina is a super talented winemaker who knows a secret that few SA winemakers are yet to catch onto. Whilst working out in the West Coast bushland of South Africa, she discovered a handful of old vines - sitting at a dizzying 400m altitude with cool Atlantic breezes, these vines were built to make premium quality wines. Fact.
        • This delicate pale blush rosé says it all, with its bright fruit flavours of grapefruit, watermelon and a touch of strawberry. The most refreshing mood boost you'll ever have.

        • Stellenbosch is the beating heart of the South African wine industry. It has the perfect soils and climate to make some of the best Merlot on the planet.

        • Lucky for us, Johan’s connections there include some of South Africa’s winemaking top brass. So when a mate of his made a vintage of one of the country’s most sought after Merlots, Johan used all his charm (plus a dollop of Angel funding) to snaffle a parcel up for you.

        • From the first sip it’s velvety soft and silky, like proper Merlot should be. With big warm hugs of red fruit, a lovely lifted flavour and a smooth, rich finish.

        • With bold flavours of fresh blueberries and juicy plums, Rudi's captured the essence of Stellenbosch finesse in all it's plush, velvety glory. It's a well-balanced drop with elegant hints of warming mocha, a smidge of spice and the all important long smooth finish.
        • The Stellenbosch sunshine, gentle coastal breezes and mineral rich soil make for conditions so exceptional that we wouldn't blame any self-respecting Syrah enthusiast for coming over a little bit giddy. These single-vineyard Syrah grapes are ripened to perfection, resulting in impressively refined but intense flavours.
        • Rudi rounds off his carefully crafted process with 18 months of French oak barrel maturation to capture that signature Syrah smoky charm. Not one corner has been cut and the proof is very much in the bottle!

        • Angel funding is often the difference between safe, predictable wines and exciting ventures. Most winemakers wouldn't give lonely, knarled old vines on a rusted trellis system a second look, but they caught Rudi Schultz's attention, and with your backing, he was able to turn them into something special.
        • This wine is a big, warming hug-in-a-glass Cabernet with lush, juicy blackcurrant and cherry flavours. Each soft, creamy mouthful, thanks to time spent in posh oak barrels, is balanced by a silky smooth and satisfying finish.
        • Rudi says "French oak barrels and Cabernet Sauvignon from Stellenbosch aren't cheap, this was a pricey wine to make. Without Angel help, it would have been an enormous challenge to pull off."

        • Stephen and Jamie de Wet (you know... only the guys behind our bestselling wines of all time) have had their ears to the ground and a beady eye on your comments. They know better than anyone what their Angels want - so it was with you at the forefront of their minds that they set to making this exclusive, velvety-smooth red. It has all the power and flavour you’d expect from a pair of Naked legends who have been with us since day dot.
        • Powerful Petit Verdot heads up this velvety-smooth luxury blend. Stephen and Jamie used small parcels of each variety to capture the grape's true essence and best flavours, before giving it five-star treatment in fine French oak.
        • The pair have taken the flavour up a notch or two with lip-smacking flavours of blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate. It's a complex and powerful favourite, that's proven itself to be a fail safe companion to your Sunday roast.

Smart move - you've found the Sweet Spot

Here's a juicy little nugget of insider info…

When it comes to wine, a small step in price = a HUGE leap in quality and taste

By spending £8-£10 for a bottle of wine, you're actually getting more than DOUBLE the quality of wine than a £6-£7 bottle …pretty impressive huh?

Sound too good to be true? It's not. Here's how it works…

As the price of a bottle increases, more of your money goes towards the delicious juice in the bottle rather than tax, duty and other boring stuff that adds nothing to the taste.

So you get a LOT more bang for your buck

These Sweet Spot wines have benefited from the very best fruit picked from immaculate vineyards, oodles of TLC, and a lil' extra Angel-funding at every step of the winemaking process.

Pull yer socks up. Because if these Sweet Spot beauties don't blow 'em off I don't know what will

I guarantee our Sweet Spot wines will blow you away. If they don't, then I'll give you every single penny back. So you've really got nothing to lose.
