A family dedicated to their craft, the Gazeaus have been making premium sparkling wines in Limoux for 7 generations. But the prestigious history of this wine, and this southern-French region, goes back a lot further than that…
Long before Champagne became the capital of French fizz, Blanquette de Limoux was the very first sparkling white wine created in France, way back in 1531. Made using the traditional local grape Mauzac, it’s an elegant, easy-drinking style of bubbly with delicious aromas of lemon citrus, white almonds and apple crumble that follow through on the palate in a clean, fresh finish. A perfect wine for celebrations big and small. All we can say is ‘Merci beaucoup, Francoise and Baptiste’.
