Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of wines sold at other companies, that have received the same customer ratings or awards from third parties.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
A fresh take on a crowd favorite
- Daryl's Sonoma Coast Pinot is a fresh take on his previous vintages, a project that began when his beloved Russian River Valley Pinot ran dry from the Naked shelves.
- Layers of bright red fruit flavors finish smooth for a Pinot that's every bit the red you’ve come to expect from Daryl.
- This Pinot came to be all thanks to Angel demand – rave reviews and clamoring fans requested a fresh round of red from this star winemaker…and he delivered.
Best before
I love this wine for drinking now because of its vibrancy, youthfulness and softness. It will also be great in 5 years, and best consumed within 10 years.
Serving advice
No need to decant. Serve straight from the bottle and slightly chilled if it's a hot day.
Food match
I always enjoy white meat like pork with my Pinots. But thanks to it's softness without heavy tannins, it can be enjoyed with almost any food.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Daryl Groom
- Meet Daryl... a 35-year veteran of the wine biz, credited eight-times as Winemaker of the Year, named by Food & Wine Magazine as one of 11 visionaries to change the world of wine... and oh yes, he served up his wines at the Oscars and Emmys two years in a row! Safe to say, the man's accomplished.
- Working as the senior white and red winemaker at Penfolds, his 1986 Penfolds Grange was arguably one of the top 3 Granges ever made - 98 points from Spectator and Robert Parker. And now that he works for you, he loves showing off wines from Australia and his California home – Sonoma and Russian River Valley.
- Thanks to your funding, Daryl can focus on doing what he loves – making great wine and sharing great wine. And he selects the best barrels he needs and farms to the best quality. "You are a gift from God to a winemaker," he says. "I knew there were Angels in heaven!"
–– "Groom made Penfolds' flagship red, Grange Hermitage, which has become Australia's most collectible wine." --Wine Spectator, on the $500+ Grange
–– "Groom is my choice for Winemaker of the Year " -- LA Times, Dan Berger
–– "Daryl Groom. The human Tornado. " -- Bill Rice, Chicago Tribune
