About the wine
A rich red from Southern Rhône's Cairanne region
- With deep, dark flavors like juicy black cherry and ripe blackberry topped with a silky, spicy finish — this is Southern Rhône Grenache at its best.
- With your support, Denis harvested Grenache (and a smidge of Mourvèdre) late in the season from sundrenched, south-facing hillside vineyards in the Southern Rhône that are protected from the strong Mistral winds, which helps yield a wine fine enough to be called Cru Cairanne.
- Cru Cairanne has only been around since 2016, so Angel support is key to the survival of this tiny but mighty region for generations to come. “Les Voconces (named after Cairanne’s first inhabitants) represents my best — elegant and powerful,” says Denis.
