Ana Diogo-Draper Covey Hill Vineyard Sonoma Valley Tempranillo 2020
About the wine
Limited single-vineyard Tempranillo
- With deeply concentrated flavors like juicy black plum, ripe black cherry and mocha, you’ll be hard pressed to leave this decadent Tempranillo in the cellar for a decade like Ana recommends.
- Angel funding gave Ana access to Covey Hill Vineyard in Sonoma Valley, where cooler temperatures, gravelly soils and a steep hillside grow Tempranillo full of verve and intensity, made even better with 18 months of French oak aging.
- With fewer than 100 cases produced, this is a unique, one-of-a-kind wine from Ana that will sell out quickly. Buy a few bottles to taste now and enjoy in the future.
Best before
This will age in your cellar a good 8 to 10 years! It will be hard to wait, but Angels will be rewarded for their patience.
Serving advice
If you're eager to try it now, please decant it 1 to 2 hours, so the tannins soften and the fruit fully expresses itself.
Food match
This will pair great with a cheese board (manchego, parmesan, cheddar) and charcuterie. Don't forget the crunchy baguette! A well-marbled steak is also a great match. For vegetarians, I recommend ratatouille.
Contains sulphites
