Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of wines sold at other companies, that have received the same customer ratings or awards from third parties.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Rich, fortified red in the perfect size for after-dinner sipping
- This crowd-pleaser overflows with intense, luscious flavors like berry compote, caramel, chocolate and cinnamon – like a decadent bite of Black Forest cake – but in a glass. Delish.
- Thanks to Angels, Ana got her hands on rare acreage of Touriga Nacional, Tempranillo, Tinta Cão, Souzão and Trousseau in the states! She harvested these traditional Portuguese varieties from Saint Amant Vineyard in Amador, where sunny conditions are ideal for ripening.
- Ana crafted this in the traditional Portuguese method in a specially sized 500 ml bottle. If you enjoy port, you'll love this tasty treat.
Best before
Wood-aged Ports, like this one, are typically ready for early enjoyment, designed to be consumed while still relatively young.
However, this wine can age for a very long time, in bottle, due to the higher alcohol content- 10+ years...but you won't want to wait that long!
Serving advice
Port-style wine should be served just below room temperature, around 60 °F.
My advice is to sip small amounts- it's not like a standard "still wine." This 2020 Doce + Forte has a higher alcohol content (18.5%) and residual sugar content. It is meant to be enjoyed as a sipper, at the end of a nice meal, or a sipper on a cold Fall/Winter night, paired with a good book (my fave!!).
Food match
Blue cheeses, like nicely aged gorgonzola, or a block of aged sheep cheese, are all fantastic pairings for this wine. Especially along with roasted nuts and dried fruits, as the contrast of flavors goes incredibly well with the sweetness of the wine.
But my favorites are rich chocolate desserts (chocolate mousse is one of my very favorites!), or a (few) squares of good dark chocolate. Or my favorite brownies, from my beloved Nigella Lawson.
Contains sulphites
