Stephen de Wet is obsessed with delivering us wines that make our Angels go weak at the knees they taste so good, and this Merlot is no exception.
For starters it has one of the most intense black cherry fruit flavours, that feel and taste in the mouth as if they've been whisked up with a shot of espresso and liquid dark chocolate. Add a hint of spice to the finish and you've got one hell of a mouthful of red wine.
Also, because its a wine back by our Angels, it's not only a great glass, but a pretty good bargain to boot.

A beautiful senorita lured Benoit down to work a humble job at a Spanish co-op where he uncovered these amazing Garnacha vines in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Lovestruck but still sharp enough to know he had found something special.
If you're going to be outdoors at all this summer, keep a bottle of the pink stuff VERY cold. You'll blast through this wine very very quickly.

If you don't know Montepulciano, it is Italy's answer to new world wines...big, oaky and rich, with that magic Italian food friendly 'thang' going on. It's to Chianti what Martin Johnson is to Julian Clary.
As Daniela, one of our Angels described it "Pure velvet...delicious".Don't just take her word for it, it took a BRONZE MEDALin the prestigious IWSC too and 91% of Naked customers would happily buy it again!
It screams out for pasta covered in a rich, meaty sauce - good old Bolognese or meatballs. Failing that, then a big fat juicy steak will do!

Whilst some wines taste like a cracked bell sounds (dull and flat), Juan's wines give out a perfectly pure note. As clean as the Andean snowmelt, you could wash your hands in this.
Juan doesn't own a suit. Probably. He certainly doesn't have a sales manager. So when Juan's principal client went bust we stepped in and helped out. In exchange for preferential prices.
Juan's 2011 vintages are pure and delicious. But he's a small producer so buy them whilst you can!

Pinot Grigio can be such a let down when in the wrong hands. Which is why it was so important for us to find someone who knew what they were doing - step forward Alessandro, our PG hero.
He's worked super hard on the blend, which means lots of those crisp clean apple and pear notes that are classic PG - but with a lovely soft bite to it that means it's almost TOO drinkable!
Whilst it's cracking on its own, don't be afraid to use it with food. It goes wonderfully with a classic fish pie recipe or salmon fishcakes.
