This is a deep, dark blend of Grenache and Syrah with the roundness and complexity you can expect from such a unique vineyard located 2800 feet above sea level in old granite soils that have run off for millenia from the Sierra Nevada mountains.
It's lush and ripe and has a lot of oomph, but Jeff finds that the altitude and soil type actually give the wine a surprising freshness and a yummy red fruit focus – he often suggests serving this a bit cooler than most reds to showcase the wine's freshness.
A perfect summer barbecue wine that has the body and depth to pair with BBQed meats but still has the freshness and focus to be fun to drink in the baking hot sun.

This amazing vineyard is grown in granite soils at 1800 feet above sea level where it's 6-7 degrees cooler than the valley floor so the grapes ripen slowly and maintain that crisp brightness and a great focus on fruit.
You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to make great Napa Chard. If you work with a vineyard like this at a high elevation, and with 25th generation grape growers like the Antinoris, you can create a really unique wine without all the expensive stuff that makes richer, oilier Chards.
You want a good white wine from Napa to impress your friends who only drink white – this is it.
