About the wine
Easy-sipping, fruit-driven Pinot Noir from a Central Coast legend
- This juicy, elegant Pinot Noir is a rush of ripe red berry flavors that glide across your tongue with silky smoothness, capped off by a big, toasty finish.
- Your support gave Sharon first dibs on exquisite Pinot Noir harvested from lush Edna Valley and Santa Barbara vineyards, which she masterfully blended and aged for 9 months in French oak barrels for an extra touch of finesse.
- Thanks to you, Sharon’s Cattoo Pinot is the cat’s meow! Her only ask: for a Pinot this layered and complex, make sure you give it about an hour to breathe before diving in, so you get every decadent nuance of flavor.
Best before
This Pinot is delicious with a good 60 minute decant prior to drinking, but will only get better with more time in the bottle. This wine will age well through 2027.
Serving advice
Please do not open this wine on the day that you receive it. This is a young wine and I do recommend decanting this wine for 60 mins prior to drinking to allow the flavors and aromatics to fully develop. This also helps soften the tannins and will give the wine a smoother taste. I also recommend letting all of my wines rest for a minimum of 2 weeks after receiving them to allow them to recover from the shipping. The shipping really does impact the aromatics and flavors of the wine and does make a difference on how much you will enjoy your wines.
Food match
This Pinot pairs well with smoked salmon, pork, poultry, lamb chops, steak or asparagus.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Sharon Weeks
- It started as a few odd jobs in the cellar, and turned into a winemaking gig. Over 30 years later, Sharon can't imagine ever wanting to do anything else.
- Sharon's responsible for making some seriously great wines for others – thousands over her 30-year career. But she's always disappointed after the wine's shipped off... all that hard work, and she never hears what becomes of it!
- Now that you've made her an independent winemaker, she loves sharing her big, enthusiastic winemaking style with Angels – and hearing what you think!
