About the wine
Elegant, classic Tempranillo from a grateful winemaking family in Spain's most famous region
- Bold and brilliant with intense dark fruit flavors and a long, lingering, silky finish, this complex Tempranillo is a showstealing Spanish classic, with 5 straight vintages of 92-point ratings or higher from Robert Parker.
- Under the Aragon family, Cillar de Silos has been one of Northern Spain’s local premium wineries for decades. But when restaurants closed their doors in 2020, its sales stopped almost overnight. That’s where you stepped in. With Angels’ $5 million Covid Relief fund, the Aragons were able to keep their winery up and running and keep their focus simply on making the best wines possible.
- For this bold red, the family used hand-harvested Tempranillo from a series of high-altitude vineyards with an average vine age between 40 and 80 years old. For helping the Aragons through the last year, now you can get the complex character of Ribera del Duero for an exclusive Angel savings!
Best before
This red is delicious now, but will also age well for at least the next ten years.
Serving advice
For best results, open this red at least one hour before enjoying it.
Food match
Game dishes, poultry, pork and even spicy dishes would all make great pairings with this Tempranillo.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Oscar Aragón
- In Northern Spain lies Ribera del Duero, a beautiful valley with a famously harsh climate that is known for its knockout reds. It’s here where Oscar and his family call home.
- The area saw a boom in popularity in the 1990s – which is precisely when the Aragón family opened the doors of Cillar de Silos. Oscar and his family have been producing some lip-smackingly good wines ever since.
- Wine writer Jancis Robinson rated Oscar as one of the leading producers in Ribera del Duero. He is an award-winning winemaker who is literally dripping in medals and international acclaim. And now you’re getting exclusive access to his finest!
