Camille Benitah Maxville Lake Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
About the wine
Refined, powerhouse Napa Cabernet - a specially-aged, limited release from one of Napa's greats
- With seven years of bottle aging behind it, this Cabernet has the elegant hallmarks of a well-aged wine with a softened, velvety texture and deeper, more complex layers of dark fruit flavors.
- Camille harvested her Cabernet from the Chiles Valley subregion of northern Napa, where grapes with rich, concentrated flavors flourish. From there, Camille treated her Cab to two years of generous barrel-aging in French oak, giving it an elevated touch of finesse as only she can.
- Camille is an icon on both sides of the Atlantic, combining the finesse of her native France with the bold power of Napa reds to bring you high-end, small-production wines like this 2014 Cabernet. Indulge in this limited, luxurious red while supplies last!
Best before
It is going to improve for the next 5 to 10 years, but this wine already has some bottle aging, so it already has a beautiful bouquet now.
Serving advice
It should be delicious upon opening.
Food match
The rich flavor and high tannin content make it a perfect partner to rich grilled meats, peppery sauces, and dishes with lots of flavor.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Camille Benitah
- Camille learned her craft in Bordeaux, France working at very prestigious Chateaux there. She moved to California and was the winemaker for one of Napa's most sought-out cult wines, Merus ($150 a bottle).
- But like all real artists, Camille wanted to make her own wine, her own way -- and Angels allow her to do just that. She's uncompromising and fiercely protective of her wines every step of the way.
- We didn't hold anything back with Camille. She gets to make her dream wine, no holds barred, and the results are spectacular.
