About the wine
A delicious take on Chile's flagship red
- Packed with ripe black cherry, plum, chocolate and a rich velvety finish, this is a classic Carménère all the way.
- Thanks to Angel support, Irene could harvest from Rabicana vineyard, with its perfect location on a sunny hillside, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly for complex, expressive flavors.
- Irene has made you a rare treat — a single-vineyard Carménère from a Puemo, a tiny village with a BIG reputation as a hot spot for this legendary red. Stock up and enjoy this instant classic now.
Best before
Delicious today and will gain extra nuance over the next 5–6 years—best enjoyed between 2025 and 2030.
Serving advice
Decant for about 30 minutes, then serve at 18 °C / 64 °F in large Bordeaux or other wide-bowled red-wine glasses to let its plush fruit and fine tannins unfold fully.
Food match
Share this Carmenere at a Chilean asado with friends—slow-grilled beef ribs or pork shoulder pair beautifully with its plush fruit and gentle spice. For homestyle dishes, a comforting pastel de choclo (corn-topped meat pie) or a hearty charquicán (beef-pumpkin stew) echoes the wine’s sweet-savory flavours and velvety tannins.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Irene Paiva
Irene had a hand in most of the top wines in Chile. As a pioneering women winemaker in South America, she's cited in loads of wine curriculum books across the world for her influence in the region!
Being an independent winemaker in Chile is rare, and Irene leads the way. With over 20 years of experience, she is a highly sought-after winemaking consultant and manages her own vineyard estate...
... that’s where her Angel-funded wines come from. She’s made wines for Chile's big names (including San Pedro and Sena, Robert Mondavi’s Chilean brand with Eduardo Chadwick) but her very favorite consultant is YOU.
