About the wine
Refined, barrel-aged New Zealand Pinot Noir from Nicky Parish's own estate
- This Pinot starts you off with ripe fruit flavors - think a mouthful of cherries or plums - that open up to an elegant, rounded finish.
- Winemaker Nicky Parish sourced smaller grape clusters from vines on her own family estate, packed with rich, concentrated flavors that she refined with 10 months of aging in new French oak barrels, thanks to your funding.
- This Pinot is incredibly versatile when it comes to food, and would pair perfectly with all kinds of dishes. Or, if you want to hold on to a few bottles, it will also continue to age gracefully for at least the next decade.
Best before
This wine has brilliant aging potential. It's got the structure and acidity that will enable it to flourish for at least another 10 years plus.
Serving advice
Decant this Pinot for at least 30 minutes prior to serving. But if you don't have a decanter, simply remove the screw cap and let it air out and breathe for half an hour.
Food match
I pair this Pinot with a butterflied New Zealand Lamb, marinated in fresh herbs that has been slowly cooked on the BBQ, served along with fresh bread and a leafy green salad.
