About the wine
The oldest wine on the site, aged 7 years for your pleasure!
- It’s not just common old Reserva, this is Gran Reserva - and in Spain this actually means something. Only top quality grapes are used. These come from 30+ year old Tempranillo vines growing very low, concentrated yields at up to 750 meters above sea level, and that's why the grapes that have the best flavors, structure and intensity.
- And the wine is matured slowly, in toasty oak barrels to give it that mellow, smooth, caramel and vanilla flavor and intense combination of firmness and silky smoothness. Yum!
- And this winemaker isn't just asking you to sit on the bottle for six years, he's already aged the wine himself so you're getting a 2009 that is ready to enjoy today!
Best before
It's very ready to drink now– it has the perfect amount of age.
Serving advice
If you can, open it an hour in advance. It really brings out the best of the Reserva's aromas and flavors.
Food match
Thanks to all the warm weather we have in Valencia, this wine is incredibly smooth and supple.
It is a great match for roasted meat, or my personal favorite– paella.
