- We buy this range through the back door of the winery - hence the name - because that way we get the best deal. Only problem is it means we can't tell you who made it but the result is always a cracking good wine.
- Gavi is like Pinot Grigio for grown ups - all citrus and melon fruits with a lovely zing to the finish that makes it sing in the mouth.
- Grab a big plate of spaghetti carbonara and get going - great combo.

- One of Napa's most decorated winemakers lowered his price dramatically for us, but hid his identity because his distributors can't find out.
- These are literally identical to the $35+ bottles sold at his winery except that the label keeps him anonymous.
- This is how cheap a premium wine can be when Angels replace the distribution, marketing and sales force.
