Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of wines sold at other companies, that have received the same customer ratings or awards from third parties.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Rare Tempranillo from California's gold country
- Spilling with ripe black plum, rich mocha and a touch of peppery spice, Ana's Tempranillo finishes with a velvety softness that will have you coming back for more.
- Ana hunted out a tiny parcel of rare Tempranillo growing in California's Sierra Foothills (in the heart of Gold Country) where the grapes ripen to perfection thanks to the Mediterranean climate.
- Take your time with this Tempranillo — Ana recommends opening it for about an hour before enjoying to let the wine breathe and allow the layers of complexity to come through...that gives you plenty of time to perfect the charcuterie board you'll be serving it with.
Best before
Because this wine presents an immense tannin profile with great acidity, it will age in your cellar over a long period. I'd dare to say 8 to 10 years! However, if you’re patient enough, and decant it for 1 to 2 hours, you can enjoy it immediately. If you can, please grab a few bottles to lay down in your cellar, and years from now, you will be rewarded for your patience.
Serving advice
Be sure to open it at least one hour before drinking it so all the flavors can fully emerge while softening the powerful tannins. Ideally, decant for a couple of hours so that all its unique aromas can be fully experienced. It will also subdue the tannin structure.
Food match
This is a full-bodied wine that will pair great with hefty dishes. A rosemary-rubbed leg of lamb or a well-marbled barbecued steak is also an excellent match for this wine. I'd recommend a rustic ratatouille or a vegetarian paella as a vegetarian option.
