Carlos' Story
"I grew up living in the Portuguese countryside, so wine has always been a part of my life. It's implanted into our culture!
What I really love about winemaking is the possibility we have to create a great thing out of nature. The innovation and all the process of creating a new product from the profile of the wine to the final image is something very fascinating for me.
My proudest moment to date would have to be winning Winemaker of the Year 2007 in Portugal. I new I had good wines, with great scores and reviews on the press, but deep inside you never believe that it?s going to happen to you!
How would I describe myself? Just like a bottle of Chablis. Classic, delicate and balanced, a surprise in every bottle and it's verypicky when it comes to service temperature, glass and pairing food...just like me!
