About the wine
Elegant, powerhouse Alexander Valley Cabernet steeped in unforgettable finesse
This single-vineyard Alexander Valley Cabernet is classically powerful and utterly irresistible - harvested from the Warnecke family's beautiful heirloom estate.
From 45-year-old dry-farmed vines (some of the ranch's original plantings!) this decadent Cabernet was aged for 29 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels to really show off its natural beauty and richness.
For best pairing results, Alice recommends sitting this regal red next to perfectly braised top sirloin or juicy BBQ ribs slathered with sweet sauce.
Best before
This lush red is ready to drink now, but there is enough tannin and acidity that it will age well for 10-15 years. The fresh fruit will develop into dried fruit and become even more of a compliment to the earthy, cooking herb aromas.
Serving advice
Open and let it air for a bit. Decant it for about an hour if you can wait that long.
Food match
Pair with leeks from the garden if still available, braised in butter. Locally raised grass fed beef steak, a fatty cut like top sirloin. Or BBQ ribs with sweet sauce and fresh corn with butter.
